Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This is the privacy page for AI Education (https://ai-ed.qtw-dodropinn.com), one of six sites run by QTW Do Drop Inn. It covers what is particular to this site. What all six sites have in common, including accounts, the email we send, backups, your choices and how to contact us, is in the main Privacy Policy.

We do not show advertising, we do not use an outside analytics service, and we do not sell personal information.

When you visit

Our web server keeps a log of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the type of browser. We use it to keep the site running and to spot abuse. These logs are kept for 14 days.

The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google’s servers see your IP address when a page loads. Emoji are drawn using small images loaded from WordPress.org, which means WordPress.org’s server sees your IP address when a page loads.

The AI tutor and chat

When you ask the AI tutor a question, try a lesson prompt, or use the Chat Locally page, what you type is answered by an AI language model that runs on our own computers: normally our web server, or, when it is busy or unavailable, a second computer of ours in the same building, reached over an encrypted connection. Neither keeps a record of what you type. It is not sent to any outside AI company. The site does not keep a record of the conversation: it stays on the page in your browser and is gone when you leave or reload.

To keep the chat available to everyone, the site counts how many questions come from each internet address. It stores a scrambled form of the address, not the address itself, and the count is deleted 10 minutes after the last question.

Please do not type private information, such as passwords or account numbers, into the chat.

The read-aloud buttons use your browser’s own speech feature. Your read-aloud choices, such as the voice you picked, are remembered in your own browser.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please tell us and we will delete it.

Everything else

For accounts, the email we send, how long we keep things, backups, your choices and how to reach us, see the main Privacy Policy. Cookies used across the sites are described in the Cookie Policy.
